Rob Morrison’s Musical Theatre Melodies broadcast on Tuesday, 22nd April will feature an 80th anniversary tribute to the Ivor Novello musical romance Perchance to Dream, from the 1945 original London cast recordings starring Muriel Barron, Roma Beaumont, Olive Gilbert and Ivor Novello; plus additional numbers from the 1968 BBC radio cast recording starring Elizabeth Robinson, Ann Howard, Robert Bowman and Patricia Lambert.

This will be preceded by an introduction by the British Musical Theatre historian, archivist and author – Rex Bunnett.

The programme will conclude with selections of songs from the musicals and revues of Ivor Novello.

The broadcast will commence at 9 p.m. EST
